TODAY’S TIP

POSITIONING
Carving Your Space in the Market

Start by asking yourself, What do we do better than anyone else? Whether it’s a feature, a customer experience, or a philosophy that drives your brand, pinpoint the aspect of your product that truly stands out. This is your unique value proposition (UVP)—the core reason people choose you over competitors.

But don’t stop at identifying your UVP. You need to own it. Everything from your website to your marketing to the product itself should amplify that edge. Consistency in messaging and design is key to staying top of mind for users.

Understanding your audience is another piece of the puzzle. Your product can’t (and shouldn’t) appeal to everyone. Who are you speaking to? What problems are they facing, and how does your product solve them in a way no one else does? The more specific you get, the stronger your positioning becomes.

Communicate your value simply and clearly. Avoid jargon or overcomplicating your message. Instead, focus on painting a picture of how your product fits into your user’s life and makes it better. People don’t just buy products—they buy solutions and transformations.

Keep an eye on competitors, but don’t obsess over them. Instead, focus on doing what you do best and doubling down on it. When you prioritize what makes you different, you’re not competing on their terms—you’re creating your own category.

Lastly, evolve with your audience. As their needs shift, your positioning should, too. Regularly reassess your market and make tweaks to stay relevant while staying true to your core identity.

Nailing your unique edge isn’t just about being different—it’s about being the right solution for the right people. When you own your space in the market, growth becomes inevitable.
